Co-founding a platform to measure ROI

I co-founded MarketingManager with my colleague Tony, who saw the vision for the platform. As a marketer and previous scrum master for digital products, he realized that despite the plethora of apps for seeing new leads there were some essential pieces missing.

No one was tracking ROI to see if the revenue from marketing was worth the spend in each category, for instance. He called me up and together we founded the business - him as the biz dev guy, me as the designer in every sense of the word. I'd help with research, concepting, naming (we didn't have a name at first); and of course the branding, website, and app itself.
